Angela Wyatt Dermatology Supports Our Local Blood Drive

Post date: Jan 23, 2018 5:1:19 PM

There is an URGENT need for 24 additional donors at this drive due to recent severe winter weather and a worse-than-expected cold and flu season impacting blood donations across the country.

Blood collected from drives like these goes to meet needs statewide, including those of Mountain School’s Avari, who needs blood transfusions every month because of a rare blood disorder, Diamond Blackfan Anemia. Because her body cannot produce its own red blood cells, Avari recently had her 67th blood transfusion.
